On Sunday, the state votes for a new parliament, and as everyone knows, the result could hand legislative and executive power in a German state to the far right for the first time in the country’s post-war history. Their stated aim: to “liberate German scholarship and restore it to itself through fundamental reforms.” How are the people who would be most directly affected by that? The people who live, work, study and do research in Halle? We met a few of them.
