<dc:description>On 13 July 2026, the new “good conduct requirement” in the Swedish Aliens Act entered into force. The main purpose of the new legislation is to create more possibilities for removing foreign nationals from the country on account of shortcomings in their conduct and way of life. It is part of the current government’s drive to make migration policy as strict as possible, and raises significant concerns as regards legal certainty, predictability and differential treatment between groups.</dc:description>
