What risks does a commercial ordering of generative “AI for science” entail? And what can academic communities do to protect their epistemic resources that follows a scientific rather than a commercial logic?

Article 40 seeks to do so by providing researchers with access to data about Very Large Online Platforms and Search Engines. This was one of three grounds for its €120 million enforcement against X.
